Описание: Wave Tours has returned with their second full-length album, [bad pieces]. This "All Self-made" band, having handled everything themselves from recording, mixing, and mastering to artwork and visual direction, quietly yet clearly steps away from the sound that introduced them to the world in this album, released three years after their EP [play with earth! 0.03]. Wave Tours vocalist and guitarist Daniel Kim describes this music as "closer to the essence of Wave Tours than ever before." The voices of the three members have permeated the songwriting process more evenly than ever before, and they refer to this change not as a decisive move, but as a destination that any band is bound to reach eventually.

[Bad Pieces] originated from John Lennon and Yoko Ono's 1969 album 'Bed Peace.' It is an album that uses a single bed as a hideout amidst a chaotic world. It begins not with comfort offered from above, but with the confession that "we, too, are clumsy and flawed pieces." It attempts neither to teach nor to heal. It simply conveys that we can create our own sanctuary just by staying by each other's side.

The sound perfectly reflects this attitude. After spending a long time poring over classic albums of the past, the band picked up vintage instruments: nylon guitar, Mini Moog bass, and a CP70 piano that anchors the tracks. Built upon minimalism, this album marks the next chapter of Wave Tours, taking a step away from the lo-fi jazz that was synonymous with the band's identity.

The pre-release single 'Heaven and Hell' opens the door first. It is a song about a world that cannot be divided, asking how to live in the present rather than seeking answers. Approaching their thirties, the three members state, "We want to live without losing the innocence of a child even as we grow older." 'Courage' leans toward the sensibilities of Lennon and McCartney, while 'Hyang' warmly portrays the moment when someone who believed they knew love encounters true love. Ultimately, all tracks converge into a single sentence: "We will be here. You can come just as you are. Courage will find you."

Wave Tours, having carried out a global headline tour unprecedented for a Korean indie band, performed on over 100 stages worldwide from 2024 to 2025 and concluded a phase by selling out three days of performances at the Seoul Olympic Hall in February 2026. This new sound will meet audiences for the first time this coming September on "the pieces tour," connecting 29 cities across North America and Asia, including New York's Radio City Music Hall and Los Angeles' Greek Theatre. On the biggest stages in the band's history, with music stripped down to the most. [bad pieces] is a record of Wave Tours asking themselves questions again, and an album that quietly places those questions beside the listener.
